To see previous iterations of a file, you can view the file version history.
- In the curriculum tool, select the node to which
the file is attached.
-
Find the package in which this file is
contained. You can do this by selecting the ‘Content’ tab in the product
context area (top right). The package you need will have asterisks beside the
number of files it contains.
- Click ‘edit’ for this package.
-
In the authoring panel, choose the ‘Files’ tab.
You will see a list of all the files contained in this package.
-
Each file name has its own ‘history’ button,
located to the right. Click this button to open the Version history view.
-
This view shows a version of the file from each
time the file has been saved. You can see the date and author, and the details
of the change.
-
Click ‘View’ to see what the file looked like before
the author made the recorded change. The version of the file will open in a
new pop-up window. You can open multiples of these at once, if you wish to
compare versions.
-
If you wish to revert to a previous version of a
file, you can click ‘Restore’. However, this will erase all of the changes
that have been made after that version, so this should be done carefully.
