The new UI can be turned on at the level of the Organization or at the level of the Product. To implement the new UI for everybody regardless of the course/product, then do so at the level of the Organization. If just one product/course should be implementing the new UI, then do so at the level of the product.


To turn on the new UI at the level of the Organization:


  • Log in as a user with access to the institutions Organization.
  • Click on the user menu drop down, select Organizations and People > Organizations.
  • Edit the Institutions organization i.e. University of X organization.
  • Scroll to the Configuration area, if this area is not visible click on More and expand Configuration by clicking on it.
  • Check the box for Use new UI in the New user interface area.
  • Save changes to the organization.


To turn on the new UI at the level of the product:

  • Log in as a user with access to edit the product.
  • View the product (or version of the product to be delivered in the new UI).
  • Scroll down to 'More advanced details' area, in the drop down for 'New user interface' select 'Use new UI'.
  • Save changes to the product.
