Feature Overview

The statements feature is a mechanism to capture explicit acknowledgements from learners, instructors, or trainers. These statements can be tied to system processes where the completion of a statement is the last step required to complete the associated process. These may include the completion of products, refresh knowledge operations, product alerts, and statement nodes.

When a statement is triggered, the user is shown the statement text together with a distinct question and formal mechanism to acknowledge the statement. These statements can also be configured to capture custom data values or files. Additionally, the statements can be configured to require acknowledgment from multiple parties.

All statements completed are recorded with the date and time of their acknowledgement. These are maintained along with the version history of the statements, so the precise statement that was acknowledged can always be determined.

Examples and use cases

  • Learners are asked to formally make an acknowledgement when they have completed a training course. By using their ID card with an online tool, each employee is presented with a statement associated with the course they have just taken. Learners formally acknowledge they understood the training and are fit for the workplace. These records are stored by Disney.
  • Learners may be required to upload copies of important documents (such as a driving license) as part of the training process. The statement can be used to capture the document along with the learner acknowledging that the upload is authentic.
